Silylation of Alcohols – DMAP as Catalyst

  1. A solution of the diol (1 eq.), triethylamine (1.1 eq.), and DMAP (0.04 eq.) in dichloromethane is stirred at room temperature to produce the silylated alcohols as shown above.
